Night of Prayer - Program

Godspeed Church - March 25, 2022

Greeting - John Skinner

Theme 1: The Majesty of God

PRAYER: Behold Your God. Ask the Lord to turn our eyes from worthless things to serve Him. Ask that we would see Him as He is: The Sovereign One over all creation, the light that defeats the darkness, beautiful beyond description, eternal, Holy, and the one whose Son releases us from Sin’s enslavement, bringing Him glory.  Ask that we would firmly fix our eyes on the one who is constant, who never changes, who is the Great I Am.

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 46:1–10

SONG: Only A Holy God
SONG: Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery

Theme 2: Repentance

PRAYER: In humility, pray the Psalmist’s prayer: “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” Take time to pray in a group that the Lord would reveal any hidden sin in our lives and that Jesus would take His rightful place in our heart and lives. Pray that the Lord would give our hearts and churches a heart of repentance and spirit of humility.

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 51:1-13

SONG: There Is a Fountain
SONG: His Mercy Is More

Theme 3: The Church

PRAYER: Pray that the churches in New England would “declare among the nations that the Lord reigns.” Ask God to magnify and glorify His name through believers in New England. Plead with the Father to daily strengthen and lead us by His Spirit to proclaim the excellencies of how He has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Theme 4: The Lost

PRAYER: Pray that God would open the eyes of the unbelievers in our lives, removing spiritual blindness that they may see their need for Christ, and in response humbly repent and believe the Gospel. Pray for a specific friend or family member in your life that needs Christ, asking the Lord to reveal Himself to them and that the soil of their heart would be fertile to receive Him. Pray that The Lord in His mercy would reveal any deception that contradicts His Word and bring repentance and salvation to many houses. Yield yourself to God as His vessel to be used to seek out the lost.
